What a great start to London Tech Week with the launch of ‘2022 Smart Cities Handbook: Indonesia’ in collaboration with the DIT, ARUP and Smart Cities Catapult this morning.
The rapid urbanisation of Indonesia makes it a hotbed for smart city innovations. Indonesia is unique in its rapidly dwindling coal reserves, its move away from being the biggest recycler of plastic waste and a move to enbrace economic growth through digitalisation, with incentives to get people building more sustainable cities – vital as their urban population grows by 70% by 2045.
The Smart Cities Handbook will be published this afternoon and will set a benchmark for urban planning.
